At 12:58 on Tuesday, 26 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Baschurch and Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Knapsacks
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

One camp fire 1m x 1m. Extinguished using knapsacks and shovels.
