At 13:26 on Tuesday, 26 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Ellesmere.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Small fire involving grass on roadside which was out on arrival. Crews used one hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera to damp down surrounding area.
