At 19:12 on Monday, 1 September, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Bishop Castle .

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Bishops Castle.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Hosereel jet

One small bonfire which had spread to undergrowth.

Build bonfires well clear of buildings and never use flammable liquids to start the fire. Before you light the bonfire, check that children and animals are not hiding inside and are a safe distance away. Don't leave bonfires unattended. Don't light bonfires in unsuitable weather conditions.
