At 17:57 on Friday, 5 September, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Telford.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Small fire in car involving wiring loom in engine compartment and cab of skip lorry. This fire was out on arrival of crews, but used a hose reel jet to damp down hot spots and checked temperatures using a thermal imaging camera.
