At 16:44 on Thursday, 18 September, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

This incident was a false alarm due to a system fault. Thorough inspection carried out using a thermal imaging camera.
