At 04:16 on Tuesday, 7 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Smell Of Gas in Shrewsbury.

Report of a smell of gas within the property. This was due to a hob being left on for a long period of time. The property has been ventilated and crews have isolated the gas and checked for readings on the gas monitor.
