At 13:46 on Sunday, 12 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

This incident was a false alarm due to an unknown fault. Crews carried out a full investigation using a thermal imaging camera. Engineer has attended to reset the alarm panel.
