At 17:33 on Wednesday, 22 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Weston Rhyn.

1 fire appliance including the Rescue Tender was mobilised from Oswestry and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

One horse released from cables and now in care of owners.
