At 08:58 on Friday, 24 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Baschurch.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods
• Small gear
• Stirrup pump
• Thermal imaging camera

Smoke issuing from chimney flue. Crews carried out thorough inspection and extinguished fire using stirrup pump, chimney rods, small tools and thermal imaging camera. Advice given to occupier.
