At 11:10 on Friday, 24 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as AFA in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident was a false alarm caused by an unknown system fault. Crews assisted by North Wales Fire Service.
