Barn Fire

At 10:31 on Saturday, 8 November, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Bicton, Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Oswestry, Prees, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire inside enclosed single story barn. Fire involved biomass boiler and one tonne of wood chippings.
