Fire In Open

At 04:58 on Sunday, 9 November, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Telford.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

Four large straw bails on fire which crews extinguished using two hose reel jets, multiple drag rakes and pitchforks.
