At 09:49 on Thursday, 4 December, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Incident involves smoke coming from brakes of large vehicle. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hosereel jet and 1 thermal imaging camera to cool vehicle.
