At 18:28 on Monday, 8 December, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Gobowen.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry.

Reports of sparking electric pole, no damage to electric pole could be located by Fire Service Personnel. Crews completed full investigation and details have been reported to national grid to investigate further.
