At 13:49 on Thursday, 11 December, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as SSC Urgent in Melverly.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Oswestry.

Fire service crew were called to assist a driver who had driven into flooded area, assistance was given to rescue driver to safety.
