At 23:32 on Saturday, 27 December, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Wem.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Fire involving one caravan within field 100% alight. Fire crews used 2 hose reel jets to extinguish fire. Crews also used thermal image camera.
