At 18:17 on Friday, 9 January, 2026, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Pontesbury.

1 fire appliance including the Incident Support Unit was mobilised from Minsterley.

Chimney fully inspected with no hot spots located, wooden beam above fire place has been cooled by Fire Service Personnel.
