At 08:16 on Saturday, 17 January, 2026, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Ellesmere.

4 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Wem and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving one small biomass incinerator, fuel being removed and dampened down.
