At 11:46 on Saturday, 24 January, 2026, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Madeley, Telford.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving kitchen of a domestic property. One cat rescued and given oxygen therapy by Fire Service personnel.
