At 03:22 on Tuesday, 27 January, 2026, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire Persons Reported in Shrewsbury.

10 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer, Clun, Ellesmere, Minsterley, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale, Wellington and Wem. Operations, Fire Investigation, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Large building fire with multiple crews in attendance. Still fire presence at the scene, dampening down hot spots.
