At 18:32 on Wednesday, 4 February, 2026, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Madeley.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Tweedale.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

Small fire involving wheelie bin and bags of rubbish in underpass.
