At 17:52 on Thursday, 12 February, 2026, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Shrewsbury .
1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Cutters/Spreaders
- Hosereel jet
- Thermal imaging camera
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
One hatchback vehicle on fire. Crews extinguished using 2 hosereel jets and 2 breathing apparatus. Thermal imaging camera and holmatro cutting equipment also in use. Police also in attendance and A49 currently closed whilst incident is being dealt with.
