At 18:09 on Thursday, 18 September, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews were called out to an automatic fire alarm, this had been caused by a small fire involving a vending machine in a canteen area. The fire was out on arrival, nothing in use inspection only.
