At 18:23 on Monday, 22 September, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Ludlow.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Craven Arms and Ludlow.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Half bale of straw alight in the open, two hosereel jets and drag hooks in use damping down.
