At 19:31 on Monday, 1 December, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Market Drayton.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Severe fire involving 6 skips, approx. 100 scrap tyres and approx. 40 wooden sleepers. 2 main jets, 1 hose reel jet and 4 breathing apparatus in use.
