At 08:25 on Friday, 26 December, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Reports of smoke issuing from upstairs windows. On attendance this incident was discovered to be a False Alarm Good Intent, caused by steam issuing from central heating vent. No action by Fire Service Personnel.
