At 16:44 on Wednesday, 31 December, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in BASCHURCH.

3 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

CALL RECEIVED TO REPORT OF BARN FIRE, THIS INCIDENT TURNED OUT TO BE A FALSE ALARM CAUSED BY CONTROLLED BURNING
