At 21:11 on Monday, 12 January, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Oswestry.

3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Oswestry and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Chimney rods
  • Short extension ladder

Chimney fire, chimney rods, stirrup pump, short extension ladder and thermal image camera (TIC) in use. Crews have requested the attendance of the ALP (Aerial ladder platform) due to difficult access
