At 14:15 on Thursday, 2 April, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Other in Soulton Road, Wem.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wem.

Small child with fingers trapped in mechanism of bicycle, released by fire service personnel using bolt croppers to cut chain. First aid administered by fire service personnel whilst awaiting arrival of ambulance personnel.
