At 17:19 on Wednesday, 8 April, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Newport.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Newport, Telford and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

RTC involving 5 cars in collision on roadway, 1 person released using holmatro cutting equipment and small gear, and conveyed to hospital via land Ambulance.

Never drink and drive - book a taxi or stay the night. It's illegal to use a mobile phone while driving and you could be fined and get points on your licence if you break this law. Take regular breaks whilst driving so you don't become over tired. The tragedy of fatigue is that you may drift in and out of sleep without knowing it.
