House Fire

At 17:54 on Saturday, 23 May, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Shrewsbury .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • 9/10.5m ladder
  • Breathing Apparatus (BA)
  • Covering jet
  • Hosereel jet
  • Small gear

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) .

Domestic property fire involving en suite bathroom believed to be caused by hairdryer. Bathroom 100% destroyed by fire, bedroom 20% destroyed by fire, rest of the property smoke logged. Fire has also spread to loft pace above bathroom. Crews cutting away using small gear. Four breathing apparatus, thermal image camera, one hose reel jet and one covering jet in use.
