At 12:44 on Monday, 22 June, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Animal Rescue in Elson, Ellesmere.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Wellington.

Horse with back leg stuck in gate released by fire service personnel using Holmatro cutting equipment and small gear.
