At 19:29 on Saturday, 5 December, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Kitchen Fire in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

Kitchen fire. Two breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet, thermal image camera and small gear in use.
