At 12:53 on Saturday, 26 March, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Animal Rescue in Montford Bridge.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

4 sheep rescued from slurry pit by fire service personnel.
