At 22:35 on Thursday, 28 July, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Tushingham.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Whitchurch.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Whitchurch appliance and incident support unit assisted over the border with Malpas appliance using the 4x4 off road fogging system on the incident support unit to extinguish and damp down a large unattended bonfire
