At 14:06 on Tuesday, 30 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Cheswardine.

5 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Market Drayton and Prees. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Fire involving small quantity of straw smouldering in agricultural barn.
