At 14:23 on Tuesday, 20 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Ironbridge.

1 fire appliance including the Aerial Ladder Platform was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the RSPCA.

We were requested by the RSPCA to attend a cat stuck on a 3 storey high chimney. Crews used the aerial ladder platform to access the chimney and successfully rescue the cat which was returned to its owner.
