At 10:58 on Saturday, 7 January, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Gobowen.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation

Fire involving washing machine in domestic property. One hose reel jet, 2 breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation in use. The kitchen area and appliances were heavily smoke damaged.
