At 16:09 on Sunday, 20 August, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smell Of Burning in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

No sign of fire, full investigation made using thermal imaging camera and short extension ladder
