Chimney Fire

At 10:04 on Wednesday, 14 February, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Sandiford Avenue, Newport.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Shrewsbury.

Fire involving chimney and flue of log burner in domestic dwelling. Log burner removed to assist with gaining access to chimney, 1 hose reel jet, short extension ladder, small gear, thermal imaging camera, stirrup pump and chimney rods used to extinguish fire.
