At 21:23 on Friday, 4 May, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Wellington.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Tweedale and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Knapsacks
• Shovels/Forks/Brooms

Small fire in woodlands.
