At 14:57 on Monday, 14 May, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Doddington.

2 fire appliances including the Landrover Pump and the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow.
