At 18:49 on Wednesday, 11 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Whitchurch.
2 fire appliances including the Water Carrier were mobilised from Oswestry, Prees and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Beaters
- Hosereel jet
Fire involving large bonfire consisting approximately 8 tonnes of waste. 100 square metres of grass and undergrowth also alight. Crews using 2 hose reel jets, beaters, and fogging system to extinguish the fire.
