At 15:09 on Friday, 27 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Baschurch.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Hosereel jet

One car and approx. 5mx5m of grass involved in fire, two hose reel jets used

Build bonfires well clear of buildings and never use flammable liquids to start the fire. Before you light the bonfire, check that children and animals are not hiding inside and are a safe distance away. Don't leave bonfires unattended. Don't light bonfires in unsuitable weather conditions.
