At 14:39 on Monday, 13 September, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Newport.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Newport.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Half a bale of hay alight, shovels and high pressure lance used from incident support unit
