At 03:01 on Thursday, 21 February, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Alarms activated caused by toast left unattended on grill. Crews ventilating property.
