At 19:44 on Friday, 12 April, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Newport .

1 fire appliance including the Incident Support Unit was mobilised from Newport.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

This incident involved an industrial tractor tyre on fire. 1 Hosereel jet and 2 breathing apparatus in use.
