At 19:33 on Sunday, 15 September, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Large quantity of chipped fir trees smoking after being cut. Rakes, thermal imaging camera and hose reel jet in use.
