At 01:29 on Friday, 18 October, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as AFA in Hopton, Nescliffe.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Triple/Short extension ladder

Reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. Alarm caused by water pipe becoming detached from tank in roof space resulting in water leaking into electrics and smoke detector.
