At 16:53 on Friday, 10 January, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Wellington.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving quantity of garden waste with smoke affecting nearby carriageway. One hose reel jet used to extinguish fire and advice given.
